Hi!

My name is Barb Yates, and I have been blessed by several things in my life. My love for Great Danes and being lucky enough to have been owned by these magnificent dogs for over 30 years is one of those blessings.

Another blessing, is my artistic ability. Having no formal training, drawing and painting these Noble Gentle Giants, as well as other breeds,  comes easily to me. I lose myself for hours while working on a piece, only accepting interruption from one of my beautiful Great Danes with a slobbery kiss or wagging tail.

I work in Pastels, Acrylics, Watercolor and Charcoals, and most recently Colored Pencils. These mediums allow me to Paint  with rich color density and detail, and have  lasting quality, just like oil paintings, many, many years.

I also offer prints and greeting cards of most of my originals. Please see Prints for availability.
